Performing a proper vehicle inspection can offset the risk and liability of insuring cars, as well as afford the insurer an opportunity to become better acquainted with the insured.

The course, Vehicle Inspection for Insurers, offers insurance agents, adjusters and licensed staff a comprehensive understanding of how and why vehicles should be inspected prior to insuring them. After attending this course, the insurer will be able to more accurately inform, assist and protect the customer through a safer vehicle.

Course Content

This course provides practical information that can help the insurer determine insurance issues associated with the vehicle.

Attendees will learn how vehicle inspection issues relate to vehicle and occupant safety, as well as the basic principles of what to inspect on a vehicle. In addition, the course will cover what to look for in the areas of body, frame, glass, safety, identification and repairs, as well as possible violations, fraud and other items that might raise a flag or prompt a closer look.

The course culminates in an actual inspection of a vehicle with hidden issues that will be uncovered easily after attending the course.

The course is taught in a classroom setting and there is no graded test.
